Helping a Thai School
About 50 service members from the three countries delivered thousands of dollars' worth of much-needed supplies to the Ban Bung Ta Go School in Korat. About 150 children, aged 4 to 12, attend the school. “This has truly been a great experience,” said USAF Maj. Dave Cochran. “The kids naturally flocked to us and were all smiles. This was a great way to create goodwill within the country, and the school staff was extremely grateful for any kind of assistance.”

The Singapore forces provided the school with 100 chairs, 15 tables, and cabinets. The Thai forces purchased bulk food items and the U.S. forces provided three new computers, a refrigerator, toys, clothes, and school supplies. After a lunch of rice, noodles, fish, fruit, and coconut milk, a soccer game took place between service members and the school children, who shrieked with joy and laughter.
