The four Brunei visiting officers were Maj. Jofri bin Hj. Abdullah, Maj. Jorsni bin Hj. Lamat, Maj. Hj. Harith bin Hj. Abd. Karim, and Capt. Matyussof bin Hj. Matyassin. They received briefings at HQ, Commander in Chief, U.S. Pacific Command; HQ, PACAF; and HQ, Special Operations Command, Pacific. They toured PAC RCC and then toured U.S. service SAR organizations. The service tours included the U.S. Coast Guard’s Maritime Rescue Center and their Air Operations Center at Barber’s Point. Coast Guard air and maritime personnel conducted a search and rescue demonstration for the visitors off the coast of Oahu, Hawaii. The officers also visited U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force helicopter units involved in Hawaii-based SAR operations.
