When the delegates finished their daily meetings, they were graciously entertained by the Fijian military. Social events were hosted by the Fiji Defence Forces, which included a visit to Sigatoka Hill Fort and Village and evening dinners. These social activities provided all the visiting delegates with a better understanding of the dynamic country and people of Fiji.

Since its inception, PASOLS has been hosted in 11 countries. The next PASOLS–PASOLS XXIX–will be cohosted by the Armed Forces of the Philippines in Manila, from 25-29 September 2000.
