The Joint Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (JWID) is a U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman’s annual event that investigates command and control, computers, communication, surveillance, intelligence, and reconnaissance solutions to joint and coalition interoperability challenges. The U.S. Marine Corps was the lead service and the U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) was the host combatant commander for JWID 2002 held at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii, and at other sites around the world, in May 2002.

"Harnessing the Global Information Grid, the 21st century warfighter’s environment" was the theme of JWID 2002. Primary Coalition Task Force (CTF) participants included Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and NATO. For the first time, Asia-Pacific countries sent representatives to observe JWID 2002.
