U.S. Flood Relief for Vietnam
- continued -

Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoi, Vice President of the Viet Nam Red Cross, accompanied by Col. Hoang of HQ, 7th Military Region, presents flowers to Capt. Mike Miller, commander of the USAF C-130.

In this operation, U.S. aid was the first international assistance to reach the beleaguered residents of Vietnam’ s former imperial capital.

Through these relief flights, and other ongoing activities designed to mitigate the potential impact of natural disasters, the United States is demonstrating its strong commitment to help the people of Vietnam when catastrophe strikes.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoi and other Vietnamese Red Cross officials thank Mr. Charles A. Ray, U.S. Consul General, for the U.S. emergency supplies.
