LIMA 97: Malaysia's Maritime

1. Prime Minister Dato' Seri Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, escorted by Defense Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar, arrives to open the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 97 (LIMA 97), held in December 1997.

2. A Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) F/A-18D on display during LIMA 97. Forty aircraft participated in the aerospace show, including RMAF F-5s, MiG-29s and Hawk 208s.

The Royal Air Force's Red Arrows Aerobatic Team performed for LIMA 97, which attracted executives from over 600 companies and thousands of visitors.
