FOAL EAGLE – a defensive field exercise that tests the ability of the Republic of Korea (ROK) to defend itself, assisted by U.S. armed forces – merged for the first time in March 2002 with the command post exercise Reception, Staging, Onward Movement, and Integration (RSOI).
