During the PAMS XXV closing ceremonies, the co-hosts, Lt. Gen. Khairuddin and Lt. Gen. Smith, praised the delegates for their accomplishments. Lt. Gen. Smith gave his address by video recording since he could not be there due to the tragic events of September 11th.

Lt. Gen. Khairuddin and Col. Steven Peace, the USARPAC G5 who represented Lt. Gen. Smith, presented PAMS mementos to the participants. Col. Peace then passed the PAMS flag from Lt. Gen. Khairuddin, representing this year’s Malaysian hosts, to Brig. Gen. Herb Petras, representing the Canadian delegation, that will co-host PAMS XXVI in 2002 in Calgary, Alberta.

As the future co-host of PAMS XXVI, Brig. Gen. Petras said, "We will do our best to maintain the standard of achievement of PAMS XXV. We learned quite a bit while we were here, and we look forward to seeing you in Calgary."
